Abstract(in English) According to deployment of broadband access networks like FTTH, ISPs start providing video distribution services with broadcast-quality contents. As the services are spread, in terms of network and server resources efficiency, one-to-many contents distribution via IP multicast will be a key solution. However, there's no easy way of flow control for multicast contents distribution of videos pre-recorded in servers. In this paper, we propose a simple multicast flow control method coupled with TCP flow control, which can be implemented with common APIs of TCP and UDP sockets. We also implement a prototype system and verify the system with high-definition TV contents.
