Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Ethernet VPN provides the connectivity equivalent to wide-area ethernet by using Internet and ether frame capsulation by IP. It has high affinity with the Internet, therefore increase of personal users is expected. Centralized VPN is appropriate for personal use. However, it has forwarding delay and scalability problems. In this paper, we propose a method for reducing the VPN server transactions by adopting multicast in centralized Ethernet VPN. We make a prototype of the proposal method and examine the performance of it. As a result, it is confirmed that the VPN server transaction time is reduced to one sixth.
