Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) IP^2 architecture has been proposed as the IP-Based next generation mobile network architecture. Mobility management architecture in IP^2 meets operator's requirements such as protection of user's location privacy, efficient use of wireless/wired resources, and independent evolution between control plane and user plane functions, in addition to the economical efficiency provided by the adoption of IP transport. Handover support for mobile terminal is a basic part of the mobility management. Furthermore, it needs advanced mobility management to support e.g. multicast and moving networks, which will be important services in the near future. In this paper, we propose the architecture to achieve these advanced mobility management, describe functional entities in detail and introduce an example information flow.
