| Abstract(in English) | Recently, ad hoc networks are widely studied, which provide dynamic and multihop routing among mobile nodes getting together. Such a study includes the interconnection between the Internet and ad hoc networks. When a node was connected to its home network joins an ad hoc network using its IP address assigned in the home network, the node can communicate with other nodes in the Internet as well as those in the ad hoc network. In the previous studies on this topic, the Mobile IP is applied to this situation as it is. In this scheme, the gateway between the Internet and the ad hoc network works as Foreign Agent, and Agent Advertisement messages are frequently flooded into the ad hoc network using multihop mechanism among the nodes in the network. On the other hand, we have proposed a scheme that, focusing on AODV (Ad hoc On-demand Distance Vector) routing as an ad hoc routing protocol, combines the functions of Mobile IP and AODV. In this scheme, Agent Advertisement message are not flooded into the ad hoc network, but AODV route discovery procedure and the acquirement of Agent Advertisement information are managed together. This paper describes the result of simulation on the NS2. |
