Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) So as to successfully develop a truly effective IP-based fixed telecommunication network, we believe it important to (1) subsume existing PSTN property and functions, and (2) allow the simultaneous use of telephones and IP terminals. It is impractical to restrict the network to just telephony service. When IP terminals are connected the telecommunication network, the information security of the telephone network could fail because of illegal attacks by IP terminals. This paper describes IP-based fixed telecommunication network that appears to be secure and provides both telecommunications and IP data communications.
