Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For the next generation optical Internet, Optical Burst Switching (OBS) is a promising solution to exploit the capacity provided by WDM technology. In this paper, in order to provide service differentiation in OBS networks, we propose a bandwidth allocation method combined with a dynamic wavelength allocation algorithm (without wavelength preemption) to schedule bursts at core OBS nodes and compare the proposed algorithm with a bandwidth allocation with wavelength preemption algorithm. Our simulation results show that although the bandwidth allocation with wavelength preemption provides better performance in terms of low loss probability, the algorithm of bandwidth allocation combined with dynamic wavelength allocation provides a compromise for reducing the complexity of wavelength preemption while maintaining a moderate performance.
