Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Two mechanisms are required in order to provide relevant personalized services. One is a mechanism to capture and manage user's situation and preference (so called user context/profile) and the other is a mechanism to construct and provide relevant services based on user context. This paper describes an example of service system, which enables automatic update of portal site for mobile terminal. Proposed system consists of the following functions: 1) a function of user context/profile management, 2) a function of content itself and corresponding "service meta-data" management, where "service meta-data" represents a set of information regarding a user's situation in which a user would like to use this content, 3) a function of service matching between user context/profile and "service meta-data," and 4) a function of feedback process via evaluation results from end users.
