Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the download type contents delivery service using multicast, the delivery speed must be adjusted to the minimum bandwidth of the multicast tree. The user's utility depends on the waiting time, and the waiting time depends on the minimum bandwidth. Therefore, from the viewpoint of user's utility, it will be effective to block slow link user's call by using call admission control (CAC). However, by using CAC, the total number of users will decrease, and the total users' utility may decrease. This paper studies the relation between the delivery interval and the total users' utility, and that between the blocking probability and the total users' utility.
