Abstract(in English) A network-based firewall for ubiquitous service has been developed to provide firewall functions offering the security policy that a user wants, independent of the network access location or type of terminal. There are two effective ways for deployment of firewall function in the network, which are (I) the function is deployed in access routers, and (II) the one is deployed in access routers and home agents. It is determined from the aspects of defense against attacks through plural routes, handling of encrypted user data packets and route optimization that the way of (II) is the best deployment between them.
