Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Diagnosis by using medical images is widely used in clinical medicine. Recent high fidelity images give us finer clinical information which is precise enough in qualitative sense. However quantitative diagnostic information requires automatic detection of organs or segmentation which is not always possible even with present preciseness in images. Some of these issues will be discussed together with some actual examples from past researches on the image processing in cardiology, such as detection of the moving organs, various types of clinical information obtainable and some issues of applicability to high dimensional image data.
