Abstract(in English) We propose a method for fusing a CT image of a body and its corresponding PET image. The method detects kidneys and liver in a given PET image and a CT image, and uses the detected organs as landmarks for fusing the images. In order to detect the organs, the method firstly estimates the approximate locations of the organs based on the detected organs in the PET image, and then searches for kidneys in the CT image to estimate their accurate locations. Referring to each image alternately, the method detects the organs from the set of images, and obtains a fused image.
