| Abstract(in English) | This paper discusses a new index of traffic mangagement proposed by the author. First of all the properties of the values of the number of traffic accidents per unit mileage are mentioned. Then it is shown that the value is more suitable to estimate whether traffic accidents are truely many or not. Moreover it is also shown that the value has a property to reveal the coutermesures to reduce traffic accidents. Finally this report shows that the rate of traffic accidents based on mileage is equivalent to that of traffic accidents based on the number of vehickes under some conditions. |
