Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently illegal outflow and copying of digital contents on the Internet has become a serious problem. Digital Rights Management (DRM) has attracted attention as a method to prevent such illegal actions. In this paper, we propose a new reversible data embedding technique that degrades the image quality by distorting several frequency regions of the frequency-transformed pattern of an original image using the encoded information on the coefficient characteristics and the key value of legal user's ID. The degree of degradation can be controlled, and the noise generated by degradation can be removed by the legal user's key, which enables the recovery of the original image.
