Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) with a purpose to decrease traffic accidents, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) has been developed. We focus on the point that Visible Light Communication using LED has been studied presently and that LED headlamp has been developed as next generation light source. In this paper. we proposed inter-vehicle communication and ranging system utilizing LED headlamp. First, inter-vehicle communication using LED headlamp is proposed. Next, ranging system is proposed. We evaluated the characteristic of the systems, and it indicated that they become possible to use LED headlamp for two vehicle applications. Our proposed systems will be expected as inter-vehicle communication and ranging system of next generation.
