Analysis of Saccade based on Interest Flow using Vector Field in Still Picture

Abstract(in English) Our encompassing goal is to develop the adaptive image processing considering the visual interest in each gazing area of input images. When we observe a given input image, unconscious eye movement for some curiosity objects is occurred caused by a kind of guidable information which is inherent in the input image. This function is regarded as the transition of the visual interest, and it is obtained that the position of each gaze area in the image in the process of the observation. This paper presents that the saccade is determined based on the gradient vectors which is calculated by whole pixels within the input image. In our method, the continuity of color information which is correspond to the 1-dimensional link of the gradient vectors is obtained by the direction information of each gradient vector. Using the 1-dimensional link of the gradient vectors, the continuity of structure information which is correspond to the 2-dimensional link of the gradient vectors is obtained. Finally, we discuss the specification of the gaze area in our experimental results.
