Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We studied the effect of reduction in visual fatigue when observing high resolution images. In the experiment 1, we displayed landscape images. Those images are changed every 30 seconds. We made 4 types resolution images (3840dot×2400dot, 1920dot×1200dot, 1024dot×768dot, 640dot×480dot). After subjects observed images for 30 minutes, subjects are measured their visual fatigue. This process was repeated three times at a resolution condition. Visual fatigue was measured with accommodopolyrecorder. The result showed the inclination of that subjects got least visual fatigue under 1920dot×1200dot condition. In experiment 2, subjects were instructed to read letters in images scanned the book. The result showed the inclination that visual fatigue was less, as the resolution of displayed image was higher. However, we have to investigate the way to measure visual fatigue, because individual variation was large.
