Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The international standard on functional safety "IEC 61508", which was issued in 2000, describes software safety for safety related systems, besides hardware safety. This standard is applied to the safety system using computers in all industries. At present, this standard gives "best practice" for establishing software safety. The author introduces design steps and recommended techniques in the standard. Especially, we established the coding criteria and static analysis tool for C-language, both of which are required in the standard.
