Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There needs to be more effort to prevail safety systems for automobiles because of the high rate of traffic accidents. With the incentives for purchasing the safety devices, which are originally rather expensive otherwise, the electronic-eye-based safety technologies are the promising ways to prevent and reduce the accidents. Automakers are gradually loading cameras in cars for driving assistance. This paper points out the advantage, with some practical examples, for the surveillance systems: ROI type and Overhead-view type, that eliminates the dead zone from the driver point of view.
