Abstract(in English) Digital Smart Pixel is the optoelectronic device consisting of two-dimensionally aligned sells that has optical input/output ports and a digital circuit as a processing unit, On the other side, optical neural networks are parallel processing systems based on two-dimensional information transfer. The systems achieve self-organization and learning capability that are main features of neural networks. Here, I describe Digital Smart Pixel, optical neural networks and the combination system these were developed under Real World Computing Project that managed from 1992 to 2002.
