Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In OFDM systems, if the maximum delay spreading of multipath channel is smaller than the guard interval, then the intersymbol interference (ISI) can be mitigated completely. However, in multipath enveronment where the delay spreading exceeds the guard interval, errors due to ISI cannot be avoided. In this paper, we analyze performance of MIMO-OFDM digital transmission system, that is, the combination between OFDM modulation and maximal ratio combining MIMO diversity system, for channels with ISI. It is shown that the MIMO system is little affected by ISI and has good bit error rate (BER) performance.
