Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The paper proposes a distributed collaboration environment supporting interwoven use of a chat-system and a shared electronic white board. It also describes a prototype system implemented using RMI function of Java Development Kit.Both allowing the users to draw diagrams along with keyboard input texts, the chat-system supports communication and the white board supports collaboration enabling them to share proposals and their revision. All the diagrams or texts are dealt with as aggregates of objects with per-object-based access control. The users are allowed to modify an object only when its access mode gives them permission. The users are free to copy objects from one system to the other. In contrast to using the real white board with real voice chatting, the users are able to review the versions of the products of their collaboration linked with the archived message exchange.
