Quantified Estimation Method of User's Information Interests based on the Web Browsing and its Application to Collaborative Filtering

Abstract(in English) Recently, the Internet has grown up radically, and more online information are distributed through the network. However, obtaining information we will desire is very difficult in the situation. So, needs for developing more personally adaptive systems to search and to collect information increased. In this study, we tried to build a model of personal information interests. We developed a user profile which represents user's information interests constructed through his browsing and evaluation to the document. In this paper, an outline of a model of information interests and its application to information filtering and collaborative filtering are described.
