Dynamical Analyses of Propagating Waves on a Two-Wire Transmission Line

Abstract(in English) Transmission and radiation of electromagnetic energy are one of the objects in the EMC research fields. According to the direction, we have studied on the wave propagation on a parallel transmission line and measured the near field around the line. In this occasion, wave propagations on the parallel plate line were measured in time domain using a small dipole sensor and a high-speed oscilloscope when pulse waves were fed into it. Dynamical analyses gave the moving pictures showing apparently the behaviors of the pulse propagation along the line for the different terminal conditions; matched termination, short circuit and open circuit. The differential measurement method using two output signals from each element of the dipole would give more precise results. Some results are given.
