Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We tried to make a spatial sound source with wide emission angle using a focused parametric array. A parabolic-circular reflector which focuses ultrasonic wave modulated by audible sound signal transmitted from an arc-shaped array of ultrasonic transducers makes an audible spatial sound source just in front of the reflector. The sound source has an emission angle depending on the angle of transducer array. An audible angle of 60degrees is realized and the source is binaurally located naturally at the correct position in the area. This source is applicable as a personal speaker for computer operation.
