| 抄録(和) | 現在の直接投入型宇宙輸送系に代わる将来型の宇宙輸送インフラストラクチャとして、我々はOTVネットワークと呼ばれる、軌道上燃料ステーションと再使用型OTVをベースにした輸送系を提案してきた。OTVネットワークでは、再使用型の要素からなっていること、大型の輸送機でなくても高エネルギーミッションを果たせること、ペイロード・燃料・上段ロケットの打ち上げが別々にできることなど、コスト低下と輸送の柔軟性につながる特徴を有しており、将来の大量かつ多様な宇宙輸送需要に適した輸送系と言える。本論文は、OTVネットワークの概要とそのインフラとしての特徴、現在の輸送系とのコスト比較、および実現するための技術的な課題等について述べたい。 |
| 抄録(英) | OTV Network has been proposed as a future space transportation infrastructure. This system is, different from the current direct launch system, a network type transportation system based on orbital fuel stations and reusable OTVs. It has several features which are expected to lead to cost effectiveness and flexibility under future large and varied transportation demand, such as that almost all the elements of the system are reusable, that even small vehicles can carry out missions requiring large energy, and that payloads, fuel and upper stage vehicles can be launched separately. This paper describes OTV Network, discusses its features as a transportation infrastructure, compares it with current launch systems in terms of cost, and discusses technical issues for realizing the system. |
