| 抄録(和) | 「あすか」は1993年2月20日宇宙科学研究所鹿児島宇宙空間研究所よりM-3SII-7号機により打ち上げられたわが国4番目のX線天文衛星である。衛星には高性能のX線望遠鏡が搭載され、多種多様なX線天体の精密観測を目的としている。衛星は打ち上げ以来極めて順調に動作しており、軌道X線天文台として世界の研究者に利用されている。ここでは、「あすか」の概要と、これまでの成果の一部をご紹介する。 |
| 抄録(英) | ASCA is the Japan's fourth X-ray astronomy satellite launched on Feb. 20, 1993, by theISAS M-3SII rocket. ASCA carries a high-capability X-ray telescope to perform precise observations of various X-ray sources. The key elements of ASCA were successfully turned on in orbit and ASCA is now working as an X-ray astronomy observatory open to every scientists in the world. Here, the properties of ASCA and a part of scientific results obtained so far are reviewed. |
