Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) DS-CDMA has been extensively investigated as a promising application to the future mobile radio access. Transmit power control is an essential scheme for CDMA in overcoming the near-far problem. In this paper, SIR-based transmit power control scheme using pilot symbols is applied for the reverse-link radio channel. Effects on the required E_b/N_0, power control error and channel capacity caused by the power control step, interval of desired power measurement, power control delay, and the number of paths are clarified with computer simulations.
