Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Modulation type classification plays an important role in communication applications such as universal demodulation, interference identification and removal from the view of hand over of portable radio and effective utilization of frequency resource. In this paper, an automatic modulation classfication of analogue modulation signals and FSK signals is described. For the discrimination from PSK signals and QAM signals, dispersion of symbol rate estimated for each blocks by block demodulation method was used. As for the discrimination between frequency modulation signals and amplitude modulation signals, classification among frequency modulation signals and classfication among amplitude modulation signals, the statistical parameters of instantaneous frequency and envelope amplitude computed by Hilbert transform were used respectively. Good classification results were obtained for all cases.
