Abstract(in English) The onboard antenna beam forming network(BFN)of the next-generation communication satellites will be required to have multiple beam forming function and beam steering faculty. This paper proposes a BFN using microwave-FFT circuit, introduces a method of determining the excitation coefficient of each beam port, and demonstrates the BFN's capability of holding the pattern characteristics constant even during beam scan operation. The proposed BFN control is simpler than that offered by the conventional BFN which directry controls the array elements because the proposed BFN forms beams basically using the microwave-FFT circuit and fewer variable components.
