Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) OFDM is one of candidates of modulation methods for fourth generation mobile communication system. In this paper, we propose a channel estimation method, which inserts pilot symbols in selected subcarriers only instead of every subcarrier and estimate the propagation characteristics of every subcarrier by interpolating these pilot symbols in frequency region. And we clarify that the proposed method is effective to reduce the pilot symbols keeping the same BER performance.
