Evaluating Impression on Music and Sound Effects in Movies

Abstract(in English) Sound accompanied by video is informative in video processing. However there is not much research using sound data. This paper describes a method of evaluating the impression of music and sound effects(SE)included in movies. In this paper, impression is expressed by two or more fundamental factors. We prepare a correlation table indicating relation between physical parameters and factors, and evaluate impression by converting physical parameters into factors using the correlation table. We evaluated the method with the sound data sampled from movies and others. With regard to SE, the method works well although there are some problems for a part of factors. With regard to music, there are still many problems.
