Abstract(in English) We investigated gain-shifted thulium-doped fluoride fiber amplifiers for an amplification bandwidth of 1480-1510 nm. We propose a novel high thulium concentration doping technique that enables us to achieve gain-shifted operation. This technique also allows us to realize a one-color gain-shifted TDFA. In addition, we propose 1.4-μm pumping and a double pass configuration to improve the power-conversion efficiency. Using these techniques, we achieved a gain-shifted TDFA with a power conversion efficiency of 42%.
