Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As growth of technology for high-bit rate and high-capacity WDM transmission systems, to extend usable bandwidth of a transmission line is required eagerly. One of the most remarkable approaches to get a broadband transmission line is to reduce dispersion slope of non-zero dispersion shifted fiber (NZ-DSF). It is possible to control accumulated dispersion and to avoid four-wave mixing over the entire S-, C- and L-bands using this fiber. In this report, we introduce our NZ-DSF with ultra low dispersion slope. And we also developed dispersion slope compensating fiber (DSCF) for this NZ-DSF in order to meet a demand of much higher-bit rate transmission.
