Abstract(in English) We have developed circuit cores that realize demodulation and error correction function applied to OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) demodulation for digital terrestrial broadcasting. Especially, We have performed core-based optimization about FFT and Viterbi decoding. In FFT, we devised VBR-FFT(Variable Bit Reverse-FFT)and were able to reduce RAM capacity to two thirds compared to the conventional architecture. In Viterbi decoding, we devised the TSSI(Tracking Survivor State Information)method and the SUM(Statistical Ununiform Mapping)method. These methods realized reduction of RAM capacity and low power by curtailment of the changes probability of the logic value written in RAM.
