Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is difficult to construct a practical learning environment where learners are able to experiment with administrative tasks of computer networking. For the purpose, currently unused SPARCstations are employed whose SCSI hard disk drives are easily installable with a convenient attachment. We have prepared pre-installed hard disk drives with functionality such as a DNS server, that can be used as a building block to construct experimental LAN configurations easily and quickly. Several server functionalities have been installed considering typical learning patterns based on our administrative experiences. In this paper, we will describe concrete laboratory procedures for teaching administrative aspects of computer networking practically.
