Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The optical fiber SPR sensor can be realized by forming the metal film on the core of optical fiber. This study is on technology for LB film evaluation using the optical fiber SPR. As the optical fiber is cylindrical geometry, LB film with the super multilayer accumulation (over 100 layers) formed on the core has the almost perfect regularity. The refractive index of the formed LB film obtained from this study is greatly different from the value reported until now. In addition, developing in real time measurement of the accumulation of the LB film, the dynamic characteristic of LB film for temperature change was detected, and a new knowledge was obtained. The results indicates that the fiber-optical SPR is a novel method for making super multilayer LB film with the ordering and also effective technique for characterizing the LB film.
