Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | A sequential vacuum evaporation system was constructed to protect degradation of luminescent properties. Organic electroluminescent(EL)devices with a new buffer layer near the cathode electrode were fabricated using the system. The fundamental electrical and light emitting properties have been investigated for the devices having metal layers close to the cathode electrode as a buffer layer. The current and the EL properties depended upon thickness of the metal layers and the separation from the cathode and were improved by the buffer layers. It was thought that improvement was caused by decrease of the potential barrier due to a mirror image effect like a Schottky effect. |
