Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Pump-probe time-resolved spectroscopy was employed to investigate intermolecular interactions in rhodamine B-encapsulated dendrimer films. Distances between core rhodamine B molecules were adjusted by size of dendrimers. In case of short intermolecular distance, quenched fluorescence due to excited energy transfer is observed, but also nonlinear emission arisen from strong intermolecular interactions was shown. Decay constant was found to be as short as 10psec, and then it can be applied for effective optical switching devices using resonant effects.
