Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Photochromic behavior of diarylethene (CMTE) was investigated using methanol solution and vacuum-evaporated film. Methanol solution of CMTE exhibited reversible photochromism by uv and vis irradiation. Vacuum-deposited CMTE film was composed of amorphous layer and showed similar photochromic behavior to CMTE solution. However, photochromic response of CMTE film got worse by crystallization. Crystallization of CMTE was restrained by spontenious deposition of MgF_2. MgF_2/CMTE layer showed stable photochromic response even after 1 month.
