Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Sound velocities and amplitudes of frve basic taste solutions and marketed beverages have been investigated in our previous studies. As a result, these solutions were discriminated. However, there are numerous taste substances in foods and drinks. In this paper, the possibility of taste sensing is considered for taste solutions by making use of their acoustical properties. Through measurements of ultrasonic characteristics was obtained from taste solutions, frequency analysis was also discussed. Furthermore, it was found that the possibility of taste sensing using a self-organizing neural network which was trained by the response pattern.
