Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes the characteristic features of molecular structure of various organopolysilanes, such as poly(di-methyl silane), poly(ethyl n-butyl silane),poly(methyl n-propyl silane), and poly(methyl iso-propyl silane). In the case of poly(di-methyl silane), each methyl group is well bonded to the side-chains attached to the second nearest neighbor Si atoms by van der Waals force. On the other hand, the structure is not uniquely determined in the case of asymmetric side-chains. For example, there are plural molecular structures for poly(methyl n-propyl silane). The reason is discussed on the basis of intra-molecular van der Waals interactions between the side-chains
