Fabrication of ultrathin film FET using charge-transfer-complex LB films

Abstract(in English) We have fabricated field-effect transistors (FETs) using TMPD-C_<15>TCNQ charge-transfer (CT) complex LB films. We used the adsorption LB method to fabricate CT complex ultrathin films. The adsorption LB method is thought to enable fabrication of the ultrathin film having high quantity and high orientation of the molecules. We obtained two kinds of films (Y-type and Z-type) by choosing proper parameters in fabricating the LB films. The FET using each film showed different field-effcet characteristics. From these results, we discussed the obtained device characteristics and stacking structure of Y-type and Z-type films.
