Light-Emitting-Polymer Displays with Emitting Layers Fabricated Using Ink-jet Printing

Abstract(in English) We have developed a 2.1-inch diagonal sixteen gray-scale, color light-emitting-polymer (LEP) display. In this display, hole-injection polymer material, and red, green and blue LEP materials were individually deposited into the pixels using an ink-jet printing process. The pixels were driven by low-temperature poly-Si thin-film-transistors (TFTs). Sixteen gray scales were achieved by combining the area ratio gray scale method and the time ratio gray scale method. The newly developed displays showed high image and color quality.
