Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As a preliminary study for actualizing organic semiconductor DFB(Distributed Feedback)lasers, we tried to confirm the influence on emission properties by diffraction grating existing in Organic LEDs(OLEDs). We fabricated a monolayer-type OLED having the diffraction grating in an active layer, and evaluated emission properties. Consequently, we observed novel spectral peak at approximately 630nm. The wavelength of the peak agrees with a theoretical value of DFB wavelength obtained by light-waveguide analysis. Therefore, we guessed that the new phenomena appeared because the diffraction grating affected the emission properties of the active layer. So, by the above-mentioned results, it was exhibited that OLEDs had an anticipative potentiality evolving in to the organic semiconductor laser.
