Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The authors have previously proposed the piezoelectric sensor with optical-access method and reported the simulation of sensitivity. We examined a method to excite piezoelectric vibration by light using a Schottky barrier diode (SBD). The SBD was used as a photoelectric transducer in VHF region. We fabricated several SBD samples with different electrode size and substrate thickness. Piezoelectric vibration with 4μW (-26dBm) vibration power was obtained at 20MHz. High vibration power over 10μW will be easily obtained through optimizing the SDB construction.
