Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Photoluminescence(PL)of poly(3-alkylthiophene)s, P3AT, was studied by the viewpoint of the structural regularity and side chain length. It was observed that PL the regiorandom P3ATs(RD-P3ATs)have large PL emission with blue shift in comparison with the head-to-tail P3ATs(HT-P3ATs). This fact indicates that the effective π conjugation length of RD-P3ATs is smaller than that of HT-P3ATs. P3ATs with longer alkyl length gave a tendency to the strong PL, however, the alkyl group is not so large contribution to the PL intensity.
