Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The photocarrier generation in poly(3-alkylthiophenes, P3ATs)was studied using ITO/P3AT/Al sandwich cells. It was found that efficient photocarrier generation occurs at P3AT/Al interface. The decrease of alkyl side chain length increases the photocarrier generation. The regioregularity of main chain also affects on the photocarrier generation. These results suggest that the intermolecular distance and/or the effective π conjugation length in interchain have much to do with photocarrier generation mechanism.
