Abstract(in English) This paper reports the synthesis and chiroptical properties of poly(alkyl-alkoxyphenylsilane)s in dilute solutions and as aggregates. We observed marked substitutent effects on the UV/circular dichroism(CD) absorption characteristics and silicon main-chain conformational structures for the polysilanes in molecularly dispersed solution. In addition, the aggregates of the polysilanes showed switchable and memorisable induced CD properties dependent on some external stimulus (chemical or thermal).
