Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The organic electroluminescence (EL) device was fabricated just by fabricating thin film of ruthenium complex tris (bipyridyl) Ruthenium (II) monomer with c. a. 1000A thickness on ITO electrode by spin-casting method and depositing Bi electrode on top of the film. The EL characteristics was studied in the air at room temperature. The device showed remarkably stable light emission for more than 120 hours under successive application of DC 5.5V stable light-emitting characteristics for more than 5 month under intermittent application of DC 6V. Luminance levels as high as 2100cd/m^2 at 7V were realized.
