Chiroptical Properties and Helix-coil Transition of Semiflexible Optically Active Organopolysilane

Abstract(in English) The present paper reports chiroptical properties of semiflexible, optically active organopolysilane (1__-) in isooctane solution. Polysilane (1__-) showed helix-coil transition at-11℃. The helix-coil transition reversely took place when solution was heated up and coiled down. Below the temperature, 1__- took a rodlike, single-screw-sense helical conformation, while above the temperature 1__- took random-coiled conformation with an almost equal amount or right-handed and left-handed helical segments.
